MSU nominates two undergraduates, one alumnus for competitive McCall MacBain Scholarship

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State University has nominated two undergraduate student and an alumnus for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, which brings together up to 30 exceptional students annually who strive for positive change through meaningful leadership roles.

McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University in Montreal.

MSU’s nominees for the McCall MacBain Scholarship are:

  • Karter Burgdorf, a 2023 graduate with a degree in environmental biology/zoology from the College of Natural Science. He is from Bay City, Michigan, and went to Western High School.
  • Adam Peck, a fourth-year Honors College student majoring in international relations through James Madison College and Russian through the College of Arts and Letters, with a minor in Russian and Eurasian studies. He is from Canton, Michigan, and attended Salem High School.
  • Tammy Thai, a fourth-year student majoring in human biology through Lyman Briggs College with a minor in bioethics. She is from Lansing, Michigan, and attended Holt High School.
